Hi, can anyone help me with the bed set up for suites on Celebrity? Wanted to take my older teens with us and wondered which suite had a seperate bedroom and 2 beds in the lounge area? It's not clear from the description what the set up is? It was the Silhouette ship? Thank you.

The CS has a bedroom with double bed that I think can be split into two singles and a sofa bed in the lounge. So for your situation the older teens would need the main bedroom and you would get the sofa bed. On S class there is no space for an additional roll out bed. Hopefully someone else will confirm the main bed will split. Bathroom  is Jack and Jill. We did it once with one teen and found it small.

The RS and PH again have sofa beds but both will fit a roll out in the lounge area, obviously more easily in the PH. We have happily cruised in both with our (now adult) son. The RS has a second toilet and basin off the lounge which adds a bit of extra privacy, the PH has a toilet basin and shower in addition to the main bathroom which does make life easier.

Remember that the RS and PH include drinks packages, unlimited speciality dining, WiFi and laundry for all guests which you need to factor into the pricing.

Hope this helps....

Are you absolute set on sailing in a suite?  Because with the bed information as already described by others, and the single bathroom in most suites, it might make more sense, and be cheaper, to simply book two balcony cabins, or a balcony for yourselves and a. nearby interior for your teens.  it would guarantee your teens don't have to share a bed plus they don't have to share a bathroom with you, and everyone has a little more privacy.

I second that idea! If you are not set on a suite you can get 2 connecting balconies probably for less $$.  We have done that and the connecting door yields privacy but also togetherness if you want.  However you do sacrifice some suite amenities.

I recall a Celebrity ad or  announcement that said at certain times you can book a suite and adjacent cabin for  fam members and they  get the suite perks. Not sure if it  was fleetwide or ever came to be..

Sounded like a great deal... maybe you can  look into that,,

Than you all so much for the information.  I have a boy and girl so definately need separate beds? The CS was coming in at roughly the same price as 2 balcony cabins and I really like the idea of the extra restaurant choice and suite perks!

I might ring them and ask that question,  thank you.

Thanks again!

If your children are under 18 then regardless of their room then they can join you to dine in Luminae. I am uncertain re Michael’s Club but they probably wouldn’t be that interested anyway...They would certainly be able to be part of your priority boarding, tendering etc....Try pricing up a Sky suite and a nearby inside...The SS1s at the back of the ship have nice sized balconies.

If they are over 18 I am fairly sure you would need to pay for them to join you in Luminae if you decide to cruise in a suite. You could all dine together for free in the MDR and buffet. If you go for two rooms (non suite or Aqua) then you will all dine in the MDR...

If you go for different category rooms it honestly depends on how much you want a ‘family’ holiday and how happy you are to do things apart....If you do all share a RS or PH you will all have access to Luminae and unlimited access to all the speciality restaurants. If you share a CS you will all have access to Luminae.

If you are anywhere in the world the twins can access the casino now (18). If you are cruising Europe or Asia or Australia they will also be able to enjoy alcoholic beverages. If you are cruising in America or Caribbean they would need to be 21. Our son enjoyed several cruises where one cruise he could drink and the next he couldn’t between the ages of 18 and 21! If you are cruising where the twins can enjoy alcohol then the higher suite perks have more value...

From a personal perspective we still prefer a larger shared family suite to two rooms...If you can push to a RS or a PH you honestly, could have a wonderful holiday you would all remember for ever....Our son recently was talking about amazing cruise memories and higher than Bora Bora, entering Sydney Harbour and watching Whales in Alaska was ‘sitting on the balcony at night with Dad looking at the stars....’

Whilst the practicalities of two separate rooms does have benefits a higher suite does have advantages too...I honestly suggest you do all your maths for all possible configurations then have a family discussion and go from there....

My suggestion is that you consider a suite for yourselves (maybe a Sky Suite? The rear corner S1s are very nice.) Then look at a non-suite cabin for the kids, maybe a balcony or an inside, nearby. You and your husband will get the suite perks. The kids can join you in Luminae, you will pay a fee if they are over 18 but it will likely feel like money well spent. You can also all eat together in the specialty restaurants. Four adults in the CS would be tight with little privacy, not the most relaxing of vacations. I imagine the kids would like a little space, too.

if you can budget, two s2 sky suites that would be great.  Your teens and you can enjoy the perks associated with a suite.  You would also have two bathrooms and good storage

The CS livingroom has a queen sized sofa bed and that would also work. Wouldn’t want to give up suite perks for two balcony cabins
