Any positive (or negative) reviews of MSC Casino/Casino comp program?

Longtime (and exclusive up to this point) NCL cruisers, taking our first cruise on MSC in October.  Sapphire (I think that's still what it's called) level in CAS.

Any positive or negative reviews about MSC Casinos on a whole?  And more specifically, about their casino comp program/system?  I know they match status level for Latitudes, but I doubt they do in the casino, so starting from the bottom.

My opinion of MSC casinos.

1. Boring atmosphere.

2. Needs a Craps table for some.excitment.

3. Poor table games ,no bonus.on 3 card poker.

3. Comps rooms are easy to get if you go on them again .

Ships are great, so are shows, food suberb.

Cabin was great

Thanks Johnny...sounds like the casino is an old-school type of casino back in the Atlantic City days (Ballys/Showboat) as compared to the Borgata or Harrahs of some of the other lines.

But the overall review of the ship seems positive, so maybe less gambling this cruise, and more cruising.

We played on our first MSC cruise and got 30% off our next cruise plus casino cash. It's 30% off any fare and whatever promos are being run at the time you also get (we got a free drink package). Anyway, 1000€ for 2 people for a week long cruise on the Baltic is not bad compared to other prices I see.

I emailed the casino to ask if we could upgrade... they said no. But offered me a free cruise on another sailing... better than an upgrade to me!!

The casino staff was great on board too.

Agree with other commenter who said the casino feels a little different and they definitely are missing craps. It's still a casino and it's still fun!

I have read in other posts that if you earn 10,000 points during a cruise you will earn a free cruise in an inside cabin. It's $1 per point so you would just need to play through at least $10,000. Compare this to NCL where it's $5 per point.

Wow that is a significantly better and impressive comp rate.  Looking forward to the cruise, and hopefully if we like the MSC product, the offers that follow.

Thank you!

I was onboard the Divina casino late 2017 and a casino staff member came up to me while I was playing a slot machine and issued the letter for a 30% discount on a future cruise with a $150 cash credit in the casino.  I was unable to take advantage of the offer because of a medical problem, but much to MSC’s credit, they offered me another deal for 30% off this past January.  The 30% off is good for any booking at any level including the Yacht Club.

I got a free cruise on my January 2019 cruise on the Seaside.  10,000 points.  Got a free Swarovski necklace too.  I am going to Brazil in 1/2020.  Could do up to 10 days, this is an  8 day.  Inside room but I got Fantasia.
