Komodo Can you book a private tour here

I am aware that you cannot get off in Komodo unless you are on an official tour but can you book your own privately or will the ship refuse to let you disembark that day without their tour booking

The answer might depend on cruise line - when we did a Celebrity cruise we could take the tender to the jetty without a tour booked - Best to ask the cruise line directly.

You can definitely book a private tour. Our cruise line required proof of booking before getting on the tender. There are lots of private operators, and you see much more than on the ship excursions.
