Uktog has suggested that, as many of you are not receiving emails from Azamara, I could paste and copy them here. If people stop saying they’re not getting emails I can the happily delete the topic.

Here’s one I received today.

Hopefully it’s OK for anyone who does get emails from Azamara to share. This one came last night 05/03/19 regarding the updates to Quest.

We're thrilled to announce that Azamara Quest will receive a variety of exciting enhancements this spring. In addition to the accommodations, lounge areas, and dining venues our guests have come to love, here are some of the new features you'll find on board starting on March 29th:

• Our guest-favorite lounge from the Pursuit℠ is making its way to the Quest! "The Den" will replace the Casino area on Deck 5, featuring live music in the evenings and drinks from the neighboring full bar, Spirits. This will also be the new home to the Shore Excursions and Cruise Again desks.

• Finding the perfect gift on board just got easier than ever before. Our shopping venues will be completely renovated and restocked with a number of stylish new brands.

• One of the best parts of cruising the open seas? The spectacular views, of course. Take in the scenery from six new portside Oceanview Staterooms, debuting on Deck 4.

• No matter whether you're taking in the views from your suite's balcony or indulging in a decadent meal from our dining venues, we want you to be as comfortable as possible. That's why we've added new furniture to our Specialty Restaurants, as well as to the Club World Owner's and Club Ocean suite balconies.

• To cap off the Quest's ship-wide enhancements, we've also renovated the standard stateroom shower walls and added new carpets in all corridors.

We can't wait to welcome you on board the newly revamped Quest to enjoy all the exciting updates that lie ahead.

It will be helpful to include the country where you reside (received the email) whenever you share promotional emails. 

Our promotions are not universal...they vary by market. Some countries have much stricter regulations as I understand it.

For example, I've been told (aka I've not confirmed this) that promotions cannot be extended in the UK; while in the US we often extend a promotion by a few days, even up to a month.

My original thought was about the LCV communications in particular- yes in the UK you have to advertise when a sale is ending you can now see it in small print in our furniture adverts on TV and you can’t extend

My experience over the past 6 or 7 years is that US and Canadian promotions are identical and the extensions are also for the same length. Canadian dollar prices fluctuate with the exchange rate( not sure how often it's adjusted). US dollar bookings are also available in Canada.

Has anyone received an email re the new LCV stateroom upgrade bidding which replaces the previous upgrade arrangements as advised by Bonnie in a new post. I’m not sure how I’m going to ensure that our emails are registered when we continually drop off the email list.

We are worried for the same reason, Jenny. I have read the thread and then reread the thread relating to the stateroom upgrade, and for the moment, it may have been interpreted as verging on being biased AGAINST loyalty and in favour of cash bids. Surely this is not what Azamara intended as an improvement to the system? But... to the point of this thread......as long as we are not on the mailing list, we are dependent on social media and sometimes opinion......or  discovering changes by pure chance until Bonnie posts or corrects or it appears in a thread such as this.

 

How does one know that one has a missed an e-mail if not following social media?

I received this email this afternoon too. I am in Essex, UK 

I haven’t taken a look yet, but my first thought was ~ is this a response to the ‘lead balloon’ dropped about the bidding for upgrades?

Should I win the $250 Amazon gift card, would I be able to use it here in the UK?

I think the answer to that is likely to be yes as it was sent to those in the UK.
