FYI - Thought I'd let you know that your IT Wizards have corrected the website. The old URL 

(https://www.azamaraclubcruises.com/en-ca/stateroom-upgrade)

that used to point at the webpage for the old program has been redirected to point to the new-and-improved(?) Bid on a New Stateroom program.   This is the right way to do it - anyone who might have the old URL bookmarked or cached will obtain the new webpage, not a 404 Page Not Found error.

 

However, what I experience holds for customers in Canada, and may not be true globally. Azamara maintains multiple web experiences for customer in different countries (so you can offer different pricing, different terms, different promotions, etc). The following link is still the top hit on a Google search for "Azamara upgrade" (as of today):

That link is a 404. You might pass this on to the web team and suggest that they thoroughly scrub the various websites, find any and all links to .../stateroom-upgrade, and redirect them to the webpage about the new program (and in the UK, the new programme).

I simply do not receive Azamara emails, no matter how many times I sign up.  Confirmation of shore excursion cancellations -  plenty of those -  but nary a marketing email.

Can you say some more about that:  cancellations of shorex bookings.  Is that a 'thing' at Azamara?  Like you, I've just learned of cancellation of our bike tour booked for June. How long ago did you learn that AZ had decided to pedal away from all such activities?   Should we anticipate that other bookings made might go missing with no notice? On our last Viking cruise, 6 or the 7 excursions I'd booked were changed/rescheduled/modified/cancelled with little/no notice. It became a joke. I wasn't expecting to relive that experience on Azamara.

I don't think I'd characterize the cancellations as "a thing," screen-gem.  We have 2 cruises on Pursuit coming up, and 4 of the bicycle excursions were cancelled.  Ironically, we chalked up an additional cancellation when our pre-booked, private, bike tour vendor out of Dubrovnik also cancelled.  Our Voyage Planner now shows lots of Azamara-sponsored winery tours which I don't believe will be cancelled ; )

Sometimes what you wish is a double edged sword.  Since starting to get emails I have now lost all the regular ones I was getting from Celebrity - yes Azamara with the current prices Celebrity is still on my radar.  But I am now getting a real sense of why so many people opt out of emails from Azamara.  I have an upcoming cruise and the emails I am fed up with are all connected to that booking and not LCV.  I am now getting emails every few days pushing me to book land discoveries and alerting me to onboard experiences such as restaurants.  It is really tiresome this constant upsell and I can imagine people reaching for the unsubscribe button.  I won't unsubscribe but yes I have already purchased rather expensive excursions so I am aware of the offerings thanks Azamara but as in so many areas  I wish Azamara would learn that less is more where guests in their target market is concerned.

Isn't this SO UNFAIR....no matter how many times we try and try again to register for ANY e-mails, it doesn't work. As it happens, we are about to book a cruise.....Silver  Sea has taken our fancy after all these 15 fabulous cruises on Quest, Journey and Pursuit.
