Ladies - Where do you keep your cell phone?

Recommended Posts

Looking for ideas and tips on how best to keep from losing my cell phone while on a cruise.  Ladies, if you don't have a pocket, do you carry a bag while you're walking around the ship?  Do you use a phone holder with a lanyard?  I will need my phone to keep in touch with family members who will be onboard  (decided to get Voom), and also want to take photos and have the Royal App available, but am terrified of losing my phone since I just got it a couple of months ago and don't want to have to replace it anytime soon.

This was always a problem...but now I recently found a very small thin cross body bag that will hold my iPhone and SeaPass card. Black (they had other colors) leather like at Target $10.00....it works great.

I don't like the lanyard types around my neck...my type is very comfortable.

During the day I typically have a beach bag for the pool or excursions. In the evenings I have a small black bag that is not much larger than my phone (iPhone, S&S card and maybe some $1s). Only other place is the fitness center and I use my phone there for music and workout tracking.

FWIW, I don't get the internet/cellular packages. I use it for the on-board apps and as a camera. Often it stays in the safe.

Our phones are offline the minute we leave port, most of the time I carry my phone in my pocket but her is always in the room. On port days I just throw mine in a beach bag and her still in the cabin.

My wife keeps her phone in my pocket when not in use.

We have done the same thing a number of times, then we split up and I call her, only to hear my own pocket ringing. Gets some funny looks!

I use a Vera Bradley All in One Crossbody wallet that I carry my phone (Samsung S9), S&S card and casino money in.  It's small and light and comes in all sorts of patterns.  Can use as a wristlet or a shoulder/crossbody bag.  Do I sound like an ad for Vera Bradley??  LOL!

I have a tiny crossbody purse - just large enough for my phone, sea pass, and lipgloss. I found mine at Vera Bradley - which often has discontinued patterns for half price. I was also able to use it for shore excursions, so I wasn't lugging a heavy purse. DH used a small backpack to carry the stuff he usually adds to my purse. 😜

LOL and never use the term "fanny pack" to someone from UK or Oz as it has a totally different meaning to them!

My iPhone stays with me all the time on a cruise because I use the kindle app on it to read. I bought a small nylon crossbody purse that fits the phone, seapass card, a package of tissues, lip balm and some $1 bills. It has three sections with zippers. I’ve used it several times in the last year on cruises and it’s my everyday purse as well.

No need for my phone on the ship, but if I DID want to carry it, it would be in the small purse I use on the ship, along with my comb, tissues, lipstick, etc....that I carry.  Too far to go back to the cabin to do "touch ups"....if I'm going to the pool, everything gets dropped into my tote...sunscreen, book, towels, etc...
