Internet on Transatlantic sailing on Celebrity Edge

Booked the Celebrity Edge 2020 transatlantic Ft Lauderdale to Rome just wondering about the Internet service onboard. Do you have internet service across the Atlantic? I know it's satellite based does it run out of service in the middle of the Atlantic and regain it as you get closer to Europe?

There is internet service across the Atlantic.

Have never had an issue with the internet on TransAtlantic crossings as yet, cannot imagine the newer ships being worse than those 5 years ago.

There are times when internet is spotty crossing the Atlantic.  I have heard it anonunced several times on TAs.  Newer ships may do better.

There is satellite coverage all the way across the Atlantic.

However, coverage in mid-Atlantic is limited.

Sometimes when my ship crosses, we have good coverage all the way across; sometimes we lose coverage for a few hours or a few days. Our IT Officer likes to blame atmospherics and bumpy seas for the spotty coverage.

This has been our experience as well.

They have internet with only occasional disruptions.    Edge probably has the best internet we have experienced and never lost it on our crossing.

I sailed on Celebrity Infinity and coverage was good for the whole journey from FL to Portugal and Spain. Their IT person was really helpful also.
