cost effective way to get to port from airport

from airport to carnival ship, does anyone know other than ship(what is the cost)transportation from airport to cruise port that doesn't cost much? Can you walk or trolley to port? Thanks CC community.

Letting us know what port, what city, what airport, something usually helps a lot. In most cases, Uber/Lyft is typically your cheapest and quickest option.

i am so very sorry for the omitting of certain details. I was attending to 3 mth old baby and didn't realize it. I am cruising carnival from new orleans airport.

Taxi is $36 up to 2 people.  Uber/Lyft would be fairly close to that.  No street cars go out to the airport.  It's about 15 miles from the cruise terminal.

If you are more than 2 people, taxi from MSY to the port is $15/pp if you have 3 or more (http://www.flymsy.com/groundtransportation).
