Mumbai to Cochin Private Tour.....realistic???

We have a friend who lives in Mumbai who may want to take us on our own private excursion to Cochin. We arrive in Mumbai 4:00am Thur and depart Cochin 10:30pm Saturday so this would give us 2 1/2 days to do this. Does anyone know if that is realistic?? And any thoughts good or bad about doing this? Thanks

How would you get to Cochin? Drive? It's over 1400 km and would take over 25 hours DRIVING TIME to get there. You'd most likely be better off flying.

 

You'll need to get advanced authorization from the cruiseline (and pay any associated fee). You would also need to check to see if you would need a full visa rather than the evisa available for most cruisers. There wont be any reduction in the cruise price for the nights not spent on board. Leaving and rejoining the ship down line is commonly done in India - usually buy those going to see the Taj Mahal.
