rangerdog Posted March 16, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2019 Good evening! We've booked the Carnival Dream and currently signed up for Early seating but we may change to YTD. Which dining room and floor is Early seating? Which dining room and floor is YTD? We just returned from the Valor several months ago and for the midship dining room, they had Early/Late seating on the second level and YTD on the 1st level. The aft dining room was all Early/Late dining. Thanks for the info and help.
ohyes Posted March 16, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2019 On the Dream, three weeks ago, our TYD was in the Scarlet Dining Room. I think it was on Deck 3. If I am incorrect, it was Deck 4.
rangerdog Posted March 16, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted March 16, 2019 So, YTD was only in the aft dining room? The reason I'm asking is because I don't like the aft dining rooms because of too much vibration so we always book dinner in the mid ship dining room. Thanks. YTD was the mid dining room in August and December. I don’t remember what that one is called. I had YTD and the only time I was in the aft dining room was for brunch. ohyes Posted March 16, 2019 #7 Share Posted March 16, 2019 So embarrasssing......I just checked with "kids" who were with us. We had YTD (I got that part right), but we were in Crimson. Scarlet was where we enjoyed Sea Day Brunch. Getting old stinks.
Rare 1025cruise Posted March 16, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 16, 2019 For the most part, YTD is always the midship dining room. Exceptions are I believe Vista and Horizon, where it is reversed due to the demand for YTD.
coevan Posted March 16, 2019 #9 Share Posted March 16, 2019 Dream and Magic were mid ship steps from the lobby bar, where we drank before dinner.

I will also mention because someone before mentioned vibrations in the aft dining room and I'll just throw out that I never noticed that during breakfast or brunch.
duncmelsmom Posted March 17, 2019 #11 Share Posted March 17, 2019 We were on the Dream 2 weeks ago. Late dining was aft in the Scarlet dining room. We didn't have any vibration issues and sat right by the windows. I think the Crimson dining room mid-ship is YTD.
Athankfulheart Posted March 18, 2019 #12 Share Posted March 18, 2019 Anytime dining was in the mid dining room deck 3 a few weeks ago.
Dash1965 Posted April 15, 2019 #13 Share Posted April 15, 2019 We've selected YTD on Dream for an October cruise. On another cruise line you can go to dining room concierge on first day and request a table at say 7pm every night to receive the same table and wait staff. Does Carnival do this? coevan Posted April 15, 2019 #14 Share Posted April 15, 2019 no reservations are accepted, we ate around 8:30 and the dining room was pretty slow, by the third night the hostess asked us if we wanted the same server, and we had her the rest of the trip
jayscore Posted April 16, 2019 #15 Share Posted April 16, 2019 I just got off the Dream Sunday, and YTD was at the Crimson dining room, deck 3 mid ship (lower level). I hope this helps......
