kapcruiser Posted April 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2004 The days that we dock into ports do we still have to go to late breakfast or can we go anytime in the dining room? Inspiration - August 2004
Host Caroline Posted April 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2004 Breakfast is always "open seating" in dining room on port days or it has been last 3 Carnival cruises I've been on.. usually from around 7:00 til 9:00 a.m. Host Caroline Join CC's "Alaska Live in 2005 Adventure"..you'll have a "whale" of a good time! Days Till Royal Hounds Cruise on Mariner of the Seas...! Days Till Miracle Partae Pirates Cruise from Tampa One can never have too many days at sea...
Guest Posted April 11, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2004 often on port days, Room Service is the best way to go. You can order the night before and be ready to leave the ship a bit easier.
Mar Posted April 11, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2004 Past cruises I would agree with Room Service, mark your time and it would be there! We loved the Conquest but Room Service was SLOW to say the least! We tried the buffet for breakfast but dining room really was the most efficient, and quickest way to eat breakfast our past cruise. It was also nice to have anything we wanted served up quickly and HOT (ok, sometimes just warm!).
pazooter Posted April 11, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2004 We've used the dining room on port days and never had a problem with quick service. You'll be seated in groups as you come in, not at your regular table. This seems to speed up the service so you can get going with your in port activities. The only negative is that the menu stays the same each day. We usually switch off with trying the buffet as well, though Bruce loves the double Eggs Benedict in the dining room. bethee Posted April 11, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 11, 2004 Have to agree with Bruce on the eggs benedict, but we usually do the buffet on most days as we can get going early. Save the dining room for at sea days. Not impressed with room service breakfast. JMHO,
