Bar, Montenegro

Recommended Posts

Bar, Montenegro will be one of our ports next year.  I can't seem to find any information on that port here, as searches only find mention of bars in other ports.  Has anyone been there, and if so, what suggestions for the day do you have?  Thanks in advance.

I have been in Bar 17 years ago:) But I have been to Sutomore, Budva and Kotor recently, and they are very close by. All of them are packed during summer, and getting from one place to another can take hours, where out of season takes 15-20 min by car.

Bar is the smallest and we often used to go to Budva and Sutomore for a night out. During the day, we didn't mind the beaches with the tall mountains behind us. You get to be so close to the sea and the mountains. If you prefer more sandy beach, then I recommend Budva, the more commercialized place out of them all. For history and romantic view, I suggest Kotor.
