Gate 1 Danube River Monarch princess

Has anyone done the Danube River on gate 1 monarch princess? We are on it  next Sunday March 24 from  Passau to Budapest.  How did you like it.   Any tips would be greatly appreciated. It’s our first River cruise and we’re very excited.

We were on the Monarch Baroness - same itinerary with Gate 1. Loved it!

No wine purchased in any ports - we bought wine in Munich because we arrived 5 days prior to our cruise (couldn't go 5 whole days without wine). 

We did purchase Apricot Liqueur for which the Wachau Valley is noted. It is delicious!

We stayed in Budapest for a week at the conclusion of our cruise. If you are into wine, I highly recommend booking the Faust Wine Cellar. We enjoyed a marvelous evening here - reservations are a must!
