Oporto from Leixoes

Can I ask how to get to Oporto from the dock in Leixoes by public transport?

 

I am sure I have seen info on this before, but am not having any joy with the search facility.

Since nobody is responding we will try and help. Our preference is to use th subway (it is above ground at Lexios).  But how far it is to walk depends on where you dock. I think the new South Port terminal provides a shuttle bus to the port gate from where you walk.  Th older Northern pier is also within walking distance if you are mobile.  Another option is to take a Hop On Hop Off bus from the port.  There is also a public bus line but we have never used this option.  The subway is faster and the same price.  Your ship will hopefully give you some info on walking to the subway.  But if not, the local tourist folks who are at the port can steer you in the right direction.  You should do some homework on the subway stops to determine which stop takes you to where you want to go in Porto.  We like to go across the river to where we can tour some of the Port Houses and also enjoy lunch near the river.
