Are there any Caribbean ports where a ship's casino stays open?

Are there any Caribbean ports where a ship's casino will stay open?  We are sailing on the RCL's Freedom 12/1/19 and have 2 days where we are docked from 8AM to 8-9PM and are wondering if the casino will be open at all.  The two ports are Aruba and Curacao.

Thanks!

Jess

We were on Rhapsody out of Tampa on 1/26/19 cruise.  When we docked in Roatan we were informed the casino was open all day.  I played several hours in the morning and about noon officials came on the ship and shut the casino down.  No other info was available.  Some people had been informed before the cruise the casino would be open in port.  Maybe in the future?

We will be going to Bermuda in Sept.  We will be there for two days, will the casino be closed both days?

I'm curious about Bermuda too. I'll be on a Carnival cruise that docks there overnight.

For the past several years, casinos can open from 9pm to 3am while docked in Bermuda.

I've been to Aruba and Curacao multiple times. The casino was never open while in port. However, Aruba has loads of casinos - take the city bus to the Ritz-Carlton (I've had great luck there and free drinks while playing), then walk down the beach and hit all of them. In Curacao, there's a casino before going across the moving bridge. All pay out in US currency.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO Fellow Cruisers:  For those of you going to Bermuda, in the past few years the cruise line is able to purchase a special licence from the Bermudian government to be open while in port.  The casino would open at 2100 hours or 9PM.  It stays open until 0200 hours or 2 AM.  Don't know which cruise lines purchase that licence.  Was able to play on Celebrity Cruise Line.

NCL casino is open from 9pm till 5am in Bermuda. (Looks like NCL pays 135K everytime an “Away” ship docks, now people know why NCL port fees to Bermuda are $255.00 pp. It looks like the non gamblers are now helping foot the bill on gambling fees for players. (I won’t post this on the main page because people would lose their minds haha).

I believe the $135,000 is per season, not per visit.  Especially since the second schedule appears to be per visit based on the much lower numbers.

Nice to know those higher port fees are due to a good reason.

I'm certainly going to make use of that casino on the Gem this summer!

(And I agree with CasinoCompChick....it's best we don't mention this on the regular NCL page😉)

Dear Casino Player,

Yes, so very correct.

A Carnival   inslip / shipgoing to be re+named a day before we depart NYC down the North River is really just a Gambling Ship Cruise, as it has one more port of call besides Bermuda at North Ireland Island, in Grand Turck.. both allow Gambling when the large ship is berthed in Port.
