Back to Back, Getting off ship for day

Recommended Posts

We are going to book a back to back in Australia, circumnavigating the country.  It will start and end in Sydney with Perth being the half way stop.  When we arrive in Perth, I would think we will need to get off and get our new cards, but we are wondering is can we do this first thing in the morning so we have the full day to explore before the ship leaves again? We have friends who live there and would love to spend time with them!   Any help would be appreciated!!!

Yes, you'll be able to get your new sea pass cards early...and be able to disembark early.  As Bob stated above, Guest Services often dictates when you'll receive your new card.  (There will be a meeting with all the b2b cruisers sometime before the end of your first sailing)  When we circumnavigated Australia (actually embarked in Hong Kong, b2b2b), Guest Services gave our new sea pass cards the night before...the cards were delivered to our cabin.  On the other, we got our cards early in the morning of disembarkation (If I remember correctly, around 7am)...you will also receive a "transit card".

You will use your old seapass card to disembark.  When you return to the ship, you'll use your "transit card" and bypass the check-in line, go through security, and then use your new seapass card to get onboard.  FYI: RCCL often provides a nice, private lunch for b2b cruisers...unfortunately, if you have a full day onshore planned, you'll miss it. Happy Sailing! ☺️

Don't worry about the lunch as it's not always given.
