cruisenbuckeyes Posted March 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2019 We sailed for many years on RCCL but switched to Celebrity a few years ago. We are returning to Royal in June for an Alaska cruise. We sailed on Quantum when she first came out and found making reservations in all the dining rooms and coordinating that with entertainment was challenging. Has that changed for the Ovation? Do we still have to make nightly reservations and move from dining room to dining room each night? Also, we receive three drinks nightly loaded onto our sea pass card. Can those be used in the dining room? Thanks for for the Help!
The_Big_M Posted March 31, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2019 (edited) That was called dynamic dining, and they have discontinued it, replacing it with the same menu in each restaurant, and reserving two restaurants for MTD, and the other two for fixed time. There are slight differences depending where your Ovation sailing is, but it's similar to dining on the other RCL ships. No special reservations, just follow procedures for MTD or fixed as you did on other ships. Normally, the Diamond drinks are not redeemable in the dining room. cruisenbuckeyes Posted March 31, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted March 31, 2019 Thank you so much for your response. So happy to learn I have one dining room and no moving from place to place each night. Since we have been assigned a 5:15 dining slot I better be at the bar at 5 to get my glass of wine. 😉
