AC Hotel Irla in Barcelona

There are 4 couples in our group taking the Emerald Princess transatlantic in May.  We will stay a couple of nights in Barcelona at the end.  We have 4 rooms booked at the AC Hotel Irla.  We've never been to Barcelona before, so I don't know if that's a good choice or not.  When we disembark, we have a full day tour with Barcelona Day Tours and they will drop us off at the hotel.  We booked this hotel because it looked close to the HOHO bus route, our next-day plan.  Is this a good choice?  Are there any restaurants within walking distance for breakfast and dinner?  Anything else nearby?  My brother works for Marriott, so we tend to stay at those.  Thanks for your help.
