Pictures taken between Monday, April 1 and Sunday, April 7.

Rules: See above

That's it. This isn't a contest.

All photos taken this week are welcome (not just cruising).

Prizes will not be awarded. Discovering the joy of photography is the prize.

The idea is to get folks out using their cameras for more than vacations and toddler birthdays.

Post one. Post many. Up to you.

Have fun with your camera and share your fun with others!

Spring is getting very closer here in the Midwest.  Maybe, even having arrived!!??  Today was sunny, mostly, and fairly decent from a temperature standpoint.  Tomorrow/Sunday, it will be a high of 70F or 21C.  Flowers are starting to come up.  Below as shown below are some visuals to prove it!!

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

SE Asia/Mekong River, Etc.!  Live/blog from early 2018, first adventure through SE Asia, stops in Hong Kong and Bangkok, before exploring all over Vietnam and Cambodia, seven days sailing on the Mekong River. Now at 45,494 views.

Here is a just a small, early sampling of the Spring flowers at our home this afternoon.  Glad to be done with winter, snow, cold, etc.!!  More floral delights to come soon!:

Still playing with astro photos.  This is Bode's Galaxy, about 12 million light years away.  Not the greatest capture or editing job, but its the first galaxy picture I've taken that looks like a galaxy!  About an 18 minute exposure.Bode2cJPG.thumb.jpg.02dc45e6423abf816006bf39be4916d0.jpg

Hailee's first prom. The first thing that went through my head was shock that her mother was letting my baby granddaughter go to a prom. The next was acceptance that she is now sixteen, a Junior in high school and has grown up to be as beautiful outside as she is inside. Lastly was the realization that the job of recording that fact well enough to do her justice was not going to be easy. The venue that she and her friends had chosen had a major removal of its decorative foliage and looked more like an urban strip mall than the verdant winery they remembered. As it turned out, my concerns were groundless. The subject would have outshone the Hanging Gardens of Babylon as a backdrop.

Heartbreaker

The dunes look surreal.

The dunes are fantastic and despite me going there on a regular basis (you'll see them all the time on my Instagram feed), they still amaze me. Sunset and sunrise at the dunes are one of my favorite things to see.

Late to getting around and sorting the weekend photos.  Finally got them done, so here are some of the local wildlife for this past Saturday in the wetlands:
