Items not included are in the Connoisseurs' Selection page of the menus, SC.  (It'll be interesting to see the Champagne bar menu, though, where asterisks denoted inclusions/exclusions).

Then I understand that. Are the guests told that so that they know what's included?

Sverige, the YC drinks menu states clearly that all drinks are included except the Connoisseur Selection towards the back pages of the menu booklet. As you are aware, although not listed, Nicolas F Champagne is also available for YC guests.

Yes, the YC menu is easy to understand. It's tougher outside the YC.

Thank you.. forgot to say, upgrade being YC?

We've upgraded the included Premium drinks package for YC to the Premium+ - so you can upgrade.  If you pre-book the upgrade, you avoid the 15% that's added when done onboard.

Every bar has a menu, and lists the Connoisseur Selection...that means all other drinks are available to YC guests, and also includes NF Champagne in the bars which serve it! We found it all to be very straightforward, and encountered no problems whatsoever.

I probably didn't looked enough on the menus outside the YC. I then assume that the NF is on the "standard" menu and that makes it even harder to understand why I had to fight to get it in the YC!

I guess you have seen it in the thread I started about my experience but other may not have seen it. When I asked, at the desk in the YC, about which drinks were included the answer was that since I didn't had a drink package no drinks were included outside the YC!

Does anyone know if Venchi's drinks (choc martini) etc. are still included in the YC privilege?

Thanks.

If what's included outside of YC is based on the included drinks package, then the following (bottom left of the photo) would indicate that they're not:

Based on the evidence provided I heartily second this opinion, on the basis that the YC package is somewhere between Premium and the low-end of Premium Plus. Therefore, given that even Premium Plus does not include Venchi, the YC package almost certainly will not!

Bea the sommelier in YC said cannot have Connoisseur wine in restaurant have to have Premium + for that. Basically you have anything you want outside YC according to him, he did say if we had a problem get the server to ring him personally to clarify it!

We are going to test this but DH did get MacAllan Select Oak in casino, the server took the card came back and said no problem last night

will try and gather more information

Liz ... thanks so much for keeping me informed!  It's giving me some idea of what to look out for on Seaview (though, with MSC, everything is a moving feast, so to speak).

Yes ... you have mentioned getting gelato;  but no harm saying it again as it's what people like to hear.

We embarked Bellissima in Barcelona today. During a brief orientation in the YC Top Sail Lounge we were told that ALL drinks & beverages in the Yacht Club are included and outside the Yacht Club we should check the price lists of bars & restaurants. ALL drinks & beverages up to 10 Euro are included outside the YC. Drinks over 10 Euro will be charged the full price not only the difference. Bottles of wine are charged. ALL inclusive also applies to speciality restaurants with 10 Euro cap. No mentioning of any drink packages and/or Venchi.

Thanks SW! It seems straightforward enough and describes the Premium package. I have a feeling that those who booked YC before the changes won't have the Deluxe grandfathered in.

Is there a wine list in the restaurant from which you can choose included wines from?

I think the whole discussion around Venchi is the actual venue on the Seaside class ships, though it'll be interesting to hear if you can get gelato on the pool decks (other than what the butlers circulate with after lunch in the One Pool).

Buon Viaggio - hope you have a wonderful cruise!

We def did on Preziosa in February past, and also got a handful of the low end Connoisseur Selection included...as well as Nicolas F champagne!

Thanks, Até - that certainly seems to confirm that YC guests are covered on the island.

I did say some time ago that there would be trouble if MSC expected YC guests to go back and forth to the ship for food and drinks, should they not be included - especially as the YC area on the island will be located furthest from where the ship docks.

It's been reported that the YC area won't be ready when/if we visit in November, it'll be interesting to see how the situation is handled vis a vis where YC guests are going to be accommodated, etc.

be interesting to see how many of the steerage class will take up the package

Although I'm sure some people would make it worthwhile, the $30pp 1/2 day island beverage package is probably closest to Easy so in my opinion no great deal there.  Especially if you already have a package on the ship.  I think there will be a lot of backpacks & hidden coolers bringing snacks, soda cans, beer bottles, etc... off the ship.  People filling rum runners on the ship to take onto the island would be an interesting twist.

I'm sure if you don't pre-book the packages they will include a 15% gratuity, if not also cost more, once on the ship/island.  It really doesn't seem that hard to go back to the ship for lunch though, so it had better be one good buffet.

It seems rather unfair that people who've already purchased a drinks package - that's charged per day - should have to pay twice for the day that they want to spend on the island.  Same goes for food.  Sure, you can go back onboard to avoid the extra costs, but it smacks of paying MSC twice to be fed and watered for that one day.

I think the first few ?months? YC passengers are possibly going to be offered the non-YC Deluxe cabanas as those were also removed from the non-YC bookings.  From what I've read and also based on my non-YC bookings all that is currently available to book is the Standard cabana.
