I was determined that I was going to take baby to Dancing with Guppy’s but climbing the stairs all of a sudden my back said NO! (I had a prior back issue but thought I was on the mend). So back to the room we went. 494fc5ff41fde95c9f335e051765735e.jpg
Baby thinks he can play video games just like the big boys.

The big boys decided they were going to play ball but it started to rain before they could even go up.

So, we could go to our second breakfast in the Garden Cafe. My middle son likes the bacon and potato.

I enjoyed the Bahama Mama. On the way back my husband suggested getting an Acupuncture appointment (45 minutes. $199). They were able to fit me in the early afternoon so it was worth a try. Now I’ve done Acupuncture before for seasickness and it really worked. Just didn’t know how it would work on muscles. First they have a beautiful zen waiting area then I met the Dr. She was very calming and reassuring. I felt well taken care of and by the end my back truly felt quite a bit better. Of course she recommended more sessions for a total is $500. It’s just part of the upsell that happens but I told her I would see how I felt the next morning and let her know. Luckily I felt pretty good.

Oh my the lines gong off ship. Seemed like a lot of people were getting off the ship in this very rainy Port Carnaval stop. In the past we have gone to the NASA Space Center. It was really cool and my boys then 14 & 9 had enjoyed it! This year we spend the day on the boat.
Because I didn’t have much for breakfast I talked my big boys into going with me to O’Sheehan’s for lunch. While my husband and baby napped. We had

Docked in Florida we were able to call home and check messages. Weak signal and had to use the phone while sitting in window or on waterfront for the best reception. fcd7be68f2002ae2591fc2aa91652152.jpg0b06e8d444d059c6c014747c006382cf.jpg
Just a heads up: they washed the windows today! I’m sure they see lots of very interesting things. Luckily I was just sitting in the window trying to get cell service.

Boys watched baby while my husband and I went to the thermal spa. We were greeted at the desk and they took our keycards and told us to go on back.Upon entering I noticed that this was different from other NCL spas. Men’s women’s dressing rooms where empty except for the showers and toilets. Robes and towels were provided as well as shower caps lockers and hairdryers. Upon entering the coed portion of the spa is was busy but not overcrowded. They had the heated stone loungers, padded loungers, steam room, sauna, snow room and a hot tub/thermal tub.

They also had a solarium but it didn’t seem to be the right temp. (A little to cool for me). All aboard was set for 8:30. Sail away from Florida was really cool to watch from my heated lounger and it was nice and warm.

The spa stayed open until 10:00 and we went and grabbed a couple of drinks from the garden cafe bar then on to relieve the big boys so they could go out for awhile.

I made our breakfast room service order to place out on the door and got the baby ready for bed. The $10 bag sale happened again!! So when I heard I threw on some clothes and ran to get two bags not sure when it started but they were closing at 11:00. When I got back My husband and boys decided they wanted a late night run to the buffet around midnight. They looked over everything and made a choice what they wanted only to realize they had started pulling things off of the buffet. They ended up with one ice cream cone with ice cream one ice cream cone empty and an apple. Oh well. Hoping for clear weather tomorrow and NO WIND so we can tender in GSC.

Tuesday - Port Canaveral
Room service was scheduled from 8:00-8:30. Ours was delivered promptly at 8:30. I was up and ready but everyone else was sound asleep. I really hadn’t thought it through ... but food arriving and lights turning on seemed to wake everyone else up. Oh well!

Nice - was there an extra charge for this meal?  Thanks for sharing your trip with us - makes me feel like I'm on vacation too!

No charge at all! They do offer warm breakfast options for a service fee per room. I believe it was around $7.95 per room order. But we always just got the free options.

GSC review coming tonight!! We had such a wonderful trip. Getting to go back and look at all the pictures has been fun!

Fri & Sat travel -
Just kidding we have to get to New York first! We live in the eastern part of Oklahoma and decided to fly out of Dallas so we could have a direct flight with Southwest. We didn’t want the baby to have a long drive and then have to stay confined in an airplane the same day so we traveled to Dallas the night before our flight. We stayed in the Element Hotel ($253 for 2 rooms) by Dallas Love Airport that offered a park and fly option ($8/day).

I found the room to be clean and comfortable. It had a refrigerator, microwave, stove, and dishwasher. It offered healthy pre-made meals and a free breakfast buffet the next morning. We put the big boys in one room and us with the baby in another room. The hotel offered free Shuttle service every 30 minutes to the airport. We left the hotel at 9:30 for 12:55 southwest flight.

We got our tickets & luggage dropped off. We planned on having the baby sit in our lap since he is under 2 and all we had to show for him was a birth certificate. The big boys used passports and also have Tribal ID cards. I kept the babies stroller and knew that people take it with them but didn’t know the procedure for getting it tagged. Figured out the hard way that you need to have a special tag and a luggage claim tag on it to board. I was able to get both of those at the small boarding desk while my family boarded the plane. I was concerned with the recent grounding of some jets that it might be a madhouse. But all went smoothly and security was fairly easy to go through. My husband had the clear walk through and could of taken all three boys if we had done some research.

Making it through security quickly we had plenty of time for a sit down lunch at Cool River Cafe. I enjoyed my first (of many) margaritas and we had a delicious lunch of hamburgers, quesadillas, prime rib sandwich and a grilled cheese for baby.

We went to the gate to wait for our plane but noticed TSA and guards putting on gloves, eye protection, and meeting right by the door at the gate. Of course I’m curious and a little concerned that they know something that I didn’t know. Turns out they were rechecking for TSA. Everyone had to get their ids and tickets out and they went up and down the lines.

Finally, onboard the plane with the stroller properly tagged and put under we are ready for takeoff. I didn’t know how baby would handle the cabin pressure. We gave him a binkie for takeoff and he did great!

He loved eating plane crackers and watching basketball on the tv programs available through the Southwest app. The flight there lasted almost 3 hours. Baby fell asleep the last hour and he woke as we started descending. He wasn’t a happy camper at all. So I let him bite off and chew on a small sample of gum. That seemed to help him calm down and he finally spit it out and took his binkie for the last few minutes of the plane ride. 7377139245e4eb9a7c0ebad94444aa32.jpg

After tearing apart the room to find my oldest flip flop we ate our room service breakfast. Changed it up a little.

Yesterday I ordered 1 order of chocolate croissants and got 2. Everyone loved them. So I order 3 orders today and got 3 chocolate croissants. That math doesn’t work out..right!?! Anyway, we also added some more cereal and hot tea with honey for my husband. I stuck with black coffee and a banana.

At 9:00 they came over the intercom and said anyone that would like could “early bird” walk off now by meeting at deck 6. Because we had a cabana upgraded to a villa we had priority tendering starting at 9:30-12:00. And met at deck 7.

So we went up two decks only to walk down one deck to join the deck 6 and walked right on the tender.

We had to show the security our sail away cards to get off. And were told make sure to have photo id for anyone coming back over the age of 18. We had a choppy ride to the island.

When we got off the boat we took the traditional welcome to the caye photo and checked in with the activity desk. The right hand side of the entrance. I asked how long the villas had been open and they said almost a month. But I knew that many ships in past weeks had missed the island. So it seemed like they were a little confused about where to put us and how to tell between cabana and villa. But after just a few short minutes we were walking along a somewhat muddy path. The trail isn’t long but if you have a little one or someone with limited mobility it may be hard to converse. d6f1f8e629d8732bf4700fa202ceb695.jpg52d4a8a0c1c13198e32cdbb0e0b89578.jpg

They are in the process of building more villas. To me these looked larger than ours.

It is fully air conditioned and comes with a food voucher.

Loungers are outside the unit and rafts, chairs and umbrellas are a close walk down the hill.

The sand is full of rocks and I would suggest using sand shoes or sandals.

We enjoyed MANY drinks and were able to use our beverage plan on the island. We had two servers that would come and make sure that we had everything we needed.

A few of the buffet choices

Looks like you had a beautiful day on the island!  Quick question from a previous post - you mentioned there was a $10 bag sale.  What was that for?  Thanks!

I should of been clearer! I was looking for a tote bag to carry while on the boat. The babies diaper backpack was so large. I had heard the stores were selling tote bags for $10 during the first sea day. Of course when I got up there they were closed. So I was so excited that they were out again before the last Sea day! I got 2 one was just blue insulated tote and the other was decorated with different port stops and I used it as a gift.

Enjoying the review.  Can't wait for our sailing Feb 8 2020.  Do you know what the roulette table minimums were in the casino? Thanks in advance.

Thanks! I’m not really sure about the minimums and my husband only plays blackjack and slots. But he said that USUALLY it would be $1. But that is only a guess.
