thanks for the great review!  Did you ever have any trouble getting reservations for the guppy drop off nursery?

You’re welcome! We never made reservations. Just made last minute decisions and took him. Our sailing had lots of school age children due to spring break. But the nursery seemed to always have room for baby.

Well, that’s it! It has been a joy looking back and reliving our week aboard the NCL Escape. Would be happy to answer any questions you have!

Now on to start planning our next trip. Have some credit with CAS so thinking about one of these:

Or have a free cruise for 2 with Royal Caribbean b75f23cc6e0242fb454bcb2b0dd33804.jpg

Would love to hear from anyone who has sailed both NCL and RC and what they thought of the difference.

Really fun review!  Thanks for sharing all the pics with us too!

I'm curious about your credit towards a cruse from CAS.  Is it supposed to be 'Casino Rate' or a set $$ amount or a free inside cabin?    I ask because we sail through CAS, but usually just call them when return from a cruise and see what they can comp for us.  I haven't had a host on board give us an offer.   Just wondering if this is something new.

Apparently my husband donated quite a bit in the casino. They came to him the last night in the casino and gave him a card with a number to call. Our offer was a balcony for two on our next sailing.

We 'donate' too 🙂

We used to go to Vegas more, now we cruise several times a year in those balconies or mini-suites!

You'll still pay an admin fee of $20 per person per day for the two of you.  Also port fees & taxes.  You can use CruiseNext certificates towards those so we always pick up two Certs per cruise.  (You can usually use 2 certificates towards a balcony if you are booking 6 months or more out.)

Great info! We have two CruiseNext certificates that we got a couple of years ago and need to use soon. Our problem is having 5 in a room
And most balconies do not house 5. I’m thinking hubby might have to stay home. [emoji23]

Hmmm.....problem is if he is the gambler he has to be in the comped room🤔

The Escape, Breakaway, Getaway and Joy  have a few OceanView cabins that hold five.    I would think CAS would let you book a 'downgrade' into one of those.  Otherwise you would be paying for an upgrade.     Most of the agents at CAS are really helpful and don't mind answering questions.  Just have a ship or date you are interested in and let them help you.  (If you get someone grouchy, just call back another day and talk to someone else.)

Should be fun for you to look for a cruise that will work!

Another tip for booking a CAS cruise-  You are also eligible for whatever regular promos NCL is running.  In your case you might want to search for the 3rd & 4th person free promo.

I was so surprised when we first booked with CAS that we got the free drinks & dinners too.

Enjoyed your family trip!

I have done both NCL and RCL. NCL does flexible seating and disembarkation better. I also prefer NC L kids clubs- at the toddler and 4-6 level my kids have been in.  RCL has a better environment and music on board (in my opinion). Food is pretty much the same and both have similar shows. Though NC L has a better Buffett and longer hours if you like to eat late. RCL has late food too, but it's more crowded and limited choices as it is a snack area, not the full buffet.  If you sail RcL enough (Diamond) you will get free drinks during happy hour which I think is the best benefit, as this lounge also has a fancy touch coffee machine that my caffeine obsessed husband find as the number one reason to sail RCL.  We interchange both due to location and price.

Congrats on the first toddler cruise! This was the most difficult age for me (twins) so if you can sail with a 2ish year old everything else will be easy!

After picking up baby we went to the room and got him dressed for bed. Big boys babysat while husband and I went on to the speciality restaurant.

When checking in we got the first hint that maybe my order hadn’t been placed correctly. We were seated and I was asked what my order had been and asked who took it. It was double checked by another person. My husband gave his order and asked for bread (by this time we were starving!).
The food came out quickly and was supper yummy!

Best pasta I had had in a long time. I believe we closed down the restaurant but they were very nice and tried to make us feel unrushed. We stopped at the casino to lose a little bit more $$ and I left my husband there while I went back to make sure baby was in bed. While my husband was out that evening a casino host gave him a certificate and a number to call to use his amount played credited towards another cruise.

Can you explain about the certificate your husband received from the casino to use his amount played credited towards  another cruise. I play in the casino and am interested in about this  thanks
