Junior Suites are they much bigger than balcony ?

Looking at a cruise on Discovery and would appreciate any comments on the junior suites in comparison with the balcony cabins.

Are they appreciably bigger ?

Are they in prime positions on the ship?

We haven't been in the BC but have been in a JS, twice, once on port side once stern, the stern is bigger than the others with sun loungers chairs and a table this is the one we prefer and have booked it for our next four cruises but they go first so book early and make certain you book the correct capacity cabin. Hope this goes someway to help. They are good 👌

We've been on both Discovery 1 and Discovery 2 when the were Royal Caribbean ships and the cabins were identical.  The junior suite is wider than the balcony cabin but the depth seems to be the same. This link shows a true view of the junior suite

There are 2 sizes of balcony cabin. Those on deck 6 are smaller . If you Google Splendour of the Seas deluxe balcony cabin (e1) and superior balcony cabin (d1) photos you should see the difference

Here's a video of a deck 7 aft cabin on Legend but it's identical to Splendour (nowDiscovery). Aft cabins have bigger balconies as already has been advised by another poster
