sailer1234 Posted April 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2019 could anyone tell me where the smoking areas are on liberty of the seas? Thank you.
Clarea Posted April 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2019 There is a 24-hour indoor smoking lounge on deck 4. They also allow gambling there during limited hours. There is also a cigar smoking area on deck 5, forward, starboard side, called the Connoisseur Club. Outdoors, one side of decks 4, 11, and 12.

Ur too funny Bob Sad but true. And it's amazing how fast the smokers find that lounge on day one. Even when it's nice outside...........

That's funny😂 Maybe we should pretend to be smokers and in the post cruise survey complain that there was too much noise from those gambling machines to enjoy a quiet cigarette in the smoking lounge and they should really add some comfy chairs instead of those stools in front of those noisy gambling machines 😏

TinaSG Posted April 11, 2019 #15 Share Posted April 11, 2019 Thanks for bringing up this topic. I just booked a December cruise on Independence today. We're on deck 10, but I have no idea if we're on starboard or the other "board". LOL. I don't know the ship lingo! Our cabin was on the left side of the deck plan on the website. What side is this? Also, if smoking is on 11, does this mean we could have a cloud of smoke hanging over our balcony from above? I don't mean to be rude to those of you that smoke, but if I can do anything to avoid the smoke (such as selecting another cabin), I'll do it. On my last cruise (a few years back), we rarely had the chance to enjoy our balcony due to a heavy smoker that seemed to sit on his balcony next to us 24/7. I swear, he was always out there. LOL. Any advice anyone can give would be appreciated. We're currently in 1278 on deck 10. 1
voyager70 Posted April 11, 2019 #16 Share Posted April 11, 2019 Smoke rises. Highly doubt you'll have a cloud of smoke hanging over your balcony. And if a neighbor is smoking on their balcony report it. That should put an end to it. If not, report again and they will be fined
TinaSG Posted April 11, 2019 #17 Share Posted April 11, 2019 Thank you. We'll stick with the cabin we have then. 🙂
Notcaptain4once Posted April 12, 2019 #18 Share Posted April 12, 2019 First time posting, I am a smoker... sorry non smokers I know most of you HATE US, my wife doesn’t smoke or hate me lol. I do my best to not inconvenience others with my habit/addiction. I have been on two previous cruises royal Caribbean and carnival, the first we had a ocean view interior room with two smoking sections on the boat. The second we had a balcony room and at the time carnival allowed smoking on the balcony’s. We have a trip on allure of the seas booked for July (our 10 year anniversary) and have a boardwalk balcony room. WE CANT WAIT!!!! I know ships have done away with smoking on the balcony’s. If anyone that has been on allure of the sea lately could tell me where there smoking sections are (other then the casino) I’d greatly appreciate it. I'm sure now that I have signed onto this forum I’ll have more questions over the next few months and look forward to sharing how our trip went. OCruisers Posted April 12, 2019 #20 Share Posted April 12, 2019 The smoking area is very small and not the entire port side.

I'm sure someone will answer you regarding the smoking areas on this ship as I never seem to remember if it's port or starboard on the pool deck and on some ships it varies. I just wanted to reply and say that people who hate cigarette smoking hates the SMOKE not the smoker. We don't hate you as a person at all. We hate the stink and, for some of us, it make us ill. I have irritant induced asthma and cigarette smoke causes me to have an attack (so does car exhaust and strong cleaners so I do my best to avoid those too). I have friends and family who smoke and I still love them - I just hate their habit. Hope that make sense. 2

Unless you're a former crew rower and left was starboard and right was port since you faced the "front of the boat" BUT the boat rows backwards 🙂 Still get it backwards on board at times 🙂
