Having been on the Celebration, The Spirit and the Destiny, we experienced quite bad engine judder all the time.

Is there any judder from the engines on Discovery 2? Thinking of booking Central america cruise next year.

We've been on Discovery 2 when it was Legend of the Seas and experienced no juddering or vibration at all.  The ship is a massive step up from the Spirit we sailed on in the Red Sea, so much so, we've booked our first Thomson/Tui/ Marella cruise since that experience.

Sailed D2 last year,really smooth.

The Celebrations and Spirits 'judder' was due to design compromises when they were built. Dream can judder, depending on location. I avoid aft or near the engines in cabin choice. this would apply to Discovery as well. Discovery juddered in the Glass House at certain speeds

Have sailed on Discovery 2 three times and going on her again in November - smooth with no juddering.  A lovely ship.

Sailed on Explorer 2 , lots of juddering when slowing down and in port. Captain told us that is a old ship which needs mods to props and shafts
