Late flight out of HNL. What to do with luggage?

We also have a late flight (10:30pm) We thought we would take the luggage to the airport & check it , then  rent a car or Uber & sight see for the day. Apparently most  airports/airlines allow up to 4 hours ahead of flight time.

Also try this.

You can also go have breakfast at any number of the nice hotels on Waikiki and check your bags with the bell desk before eating and leave them there for a good part of the day before you head to the airport. We've done it a few times at the Royal Hawaiian, Halekulani, and Moana Surfrider hotels and its worked like a charm. Also makes it easy to get a cab or Uber right from the hotels front door to head to the airport.

We have rented a hotel room at Hilton Garden Inn for the day/night.   Got early check-in at 10:00.   Going to shop/sightsee all day.   Then come back and shower and change clothes for the loooong night and day till we get home.  Our flight leaves at 7:30 pm so it was worth it to be able to get freshened up.  Although we won’t stay the night, they were fine with that.
