Bignickpsu Posted April 15, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2019 Good morning all...I was just wondering if anyone knew if their was any age flexibility for the kids club. On our next cruise, we are bringing our two boys (11 and 7). The 7 year old will be weeks away from his 8th birthday and we’d really like it if they could be in the same kids club. On our last cruise the younger one had just turned 7 but did not ever want to go to the kids club after the first day because it was much more geared to the younger ages. Thanks in advance. stoneharborlady Posted April 15, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2019 In my experience they are not at all flexible with the age restraints.
CruisinMinnie Posted April 15, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2019 I would certainly ask on embarkation day at the kids club. All they can say is no. Also maybe if the ages for the 3 - 7 group is more 6 and 7 year olds they might do some 'older' activities.
CruisinFinsUp Posted April 15, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2019 Usually they are not flexible. Sometimes the older one (if close in age) may be able to drop DOWN to the lower one's group - but they must stay the entire cruise - no bouncing back and forth. I've not experienced the younger one allowed up, even if they are close to their birthday. You can always ask, but expect to have them follow the rules. On port days, they sometimes combine the groups into the room for the younger kids if there are only a few of each. But the younger room has less to do for the older ones so that isn't great either. akeasley Posted April 15, 2019 #5 Share Posted April 15, 2019 From my experience they are not flexible but it doesn't hurt to ask.
RMMariner Posted April 15, 2019 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2019 I have 4 children that have been in the Kids' Club. There has never been any flexibility to move them around.
cnd crsr Posted April 15, 2019 #7 Share Posted April 15, 2019 Our grandsons are one year apart. We asked about putting them together and the answer was no. If they do it for one than it is difficult not to do it for all.
weedpindle Posted April 15, 2019 #8 Share Posted April 15, 2019 But never mind the rules, can you do me a favor?
Rare ceilidh1 Posted April 15, 2019 #9 Share Posted April 15, 2019 This is one of the few things that Princess DOES seem to have consistency on! From our experience of cruising with them (with kids) for the past 11 years, they do not allow kids to be moved between age groups UNLESS their birthday falls during the cruise. Our cruise in March, my (almost) 8 year old was head and shoulders above every other child in the club. Whenever I dropped him off or picked him up, the staff would comment that he was in the wrong group....lol
abqmommyof4 Posted April 15, 2019 #10 Share Posted April 15, 2019 many years ago, our son was aging up to the next older group a day or so into the cruise, we spoke o them and they allowed it.. He was a teenager at the time, Just our experience,,,
