A pleasant 18c and hazy sunshine as we head back into town to Duncan Dock and join the Whisper.

 

Bumped into one of the newly joining Ghosts at Heathrow yesterday, whom we last travelled with on the 2017 WC. He left light snow in Chicago.

 

I believe there are about 30 of us coming on for the final segments.

Made it to the Whisper and somewhat surprised to find that we are docked just outside the relocated Panama Jacks.

 

With almost all the guests ashore the WiFi is running at a very reasonable 5.87 Mbps! Hope it lasts.

Just back from a wonderful 6 star WC event - the steam train to Paarl, a presentation by Nelson Mandela’s personal assistant and great food and wine wine a choir performance at KWV.  A perfect time.  Will post some pics tomorrow.

A lovely clear day in Cape Town, 18c. We are joined by the Viking Sun just behind us. Great to see the crew having a party in Panama Jacks last night. It’s one of the most convenient dock locations for the crew to access that we have seen. We have a departure face to face with immigration this afternoon and then sail at 5pm.

Like all good children we have been ashore and visited immigration for our departure stamps. In our case it was the second one because the lady at Cape Town airport stamped us as departing instead of arriving, and with a stamp that was already 4 days out of date!
