Hotels near Manhattan Cruise Terminal

Does anyone have any recommendations of hotels around the Cruise Terminal?  And near public transportation?  Are there any hotels with 2 bedroom suites?

As far as a hotel near the Cruise Terminal I would point out that Manhattan is not that large. A midtown hotel is just a short taxi ride to the Port. In addition one would be well located for sightseeing, subway and busses, etc.

Hotels in the immediate vicinity of the Passenger Ship Terminal west of 10th Ave are a little dodgy still. Nothing horrendous but there are far nicer hotels a few blocks east towards Times Square. Its such a broad question-- there are literally hundreds of hotels within walking distance of the pier that range from youth hostels to five star hotels. They offer anything from single rooms to large apartment style suites. 

 

As a generality, Manhattan tends to be one of those places that a two bedroom suite is actually more expensive than getting two separate entry level rooms at the same hotel. I'm sure there are exceptions but thats what I've seen there over the years.

Could you provide the exact date you need a room?  Hotel budget range?  Number of people?  Number of beds and bed size requirements?  Children & ages?

 

As folks have said, no real reason to be close to the terminal, particularly if you want good access to public transportation.

Double Tree Suites Times Square is an all suite hotel. Public transportation to anywhere you need to go right out your door. Close to pier but not walking distance unless you want to ruin your luggage forever. Lol. 

 

Hotel pricing in Manhattan is dynamic, it fluctuates depending on supply and demand.

Agree really do not want hotel really close to port, hundreds in a ten dollar taxi or Uber away.

Thanks all!  We will be there early June 2020.  I'll look further away then.  We have never visited NY.

Please post back more details as requested before, especially the exact dates.  Also identify your major sightseeing objectives. You’re looking for a more specialized kind of room, so your goal should be to book a cancellable reservation by the end of July.  Rooms or suites that accommodate more than 4 people are scarce.  Are you flying in?  Which airport?

Do you desire a 2 BR suite because you have kids?  Such rooms are very expensive in Manhattan.  For basic rooms near the port, The Holiday Inn Express Midtown West on W 48th is popular but it's a 10 minute walk to public transit.   There is also a Comfort Inn on the same block and a Kimpton Hotel is the closest at one block away from the port.  Those are the 3 closest.

 

As said above, Any midtown hotel is a short taxi ride away and more convenient to transit.

Kimpton's Ink 48 is very close and very nice.
