OK, I’ll bite...

From Sicily:

Spaghetti al nero di seppia (Ortigia), pulpo bulito... *any* fish or seafood!

Arancini (Palermo), pasta alla Norma (Catania), pasta al pesto di pistacchi

Pistachio butter, pistachio gelato, granita, cannoli, cassatelle

From Umbria & Tuscany:

Frittata al tartufo, tagliolini al tartufo... anything with truffles! 🙂

Gallina ubriaca (Orvieto), ribollita (the Firenze version), pappardelle al ragù di cinghiale (Perugia), fiori di zucca

Anything chocolate from Vestri in Florence!

From Rome:

Cacio e pepe, carbonara alla vignarola, carciofo alla Romana, saltimbocca, pizza al taglio

Maritozzi, tiramisu, and more gelato!

That was a very mouth-watering article, Bonnie... it’s time for me to go back again...

Even Rome's Stazione Terminii served an excellent carciofi.

My friend is Roman. He says one of the best places to eat in Rome is at Stazione Termini and Romans who are not travelling often go there to just have a meal.

My favourite Italian Dish is Wild Boar Pasta and the most delicious Millefeuille type dessert at a little family owned restaurant near Campo dei Fiori in Rome. I also love Torrone semi freddo.

In fact I love any Italian food. 😄

Always a good idea to go where the locals go to eat - best meal ever in Rome many years ago - so good we went back to the same restaurant a couple of blocks away from where we were staying for a repeat of the delicious meal more than once during our stay :

Sicilian Swordfish. 😋

I have just realized this thread was started by Bonnie, who was appointed by Azamara and who was very helpful. I know she is not anymore at Azamara. Anyone knows where she is? Is the a chance she might come back to Azamara?

To stay in topic Italian food is my favorite. Difficult to say which dish I like the most. But Osobuco is one of them.
