LSGDRG Posted April 19, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2019 Hello all. We just returned to California after a 33 day trip including 19 days on the Majestic Princess. We will be posting our pre & post cruise reviews on TripAdvisor and a review of our March 26, 2019 sailing on Cruise Critic within the next few days. We enjoyed both our pre/post cruise stays and the cruise. Here is a link to a video of our penthouse suite on the Majestic (R730). We are happy to answer any questions regarding this suite. john_galt Posted April 19, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2019 Thanks for the video! I'm in an aft PH on the Sky in December and video from the Majestic has been difficult to find. Any issues with soot?
LSGDRG Posted April 19, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted April 19, 2019 Yes. There was soot. The amount varied from day to day and did not stop us from enjoying the balcony. The room steward mopped the balcony deck regularly.

Smaller balcony, but really convenient to the VIP/Concierge lounge where one could get snacks, fruits, juices, espresso drinks all day long (like a mini International Cafe). R730 is a penthouse suite on Riviera deck. It is an aft wrap, which is our preferred cabin type. We specifically chose it due to its proximity to the VIP lounge. We loved the lounge and ended up using it several times a day. The concierge on our sailing, Victoria, was extremely helpful.
cflutist Posted April 19, 2019 #6 Share Posted April 19, 2019 (edited) Ok, sorry, we were in R614 across from the lounge, which I did visit several times in my slippers, lol. We were hesitant to book an aft suite because I read about the soot problems earlier. We also tried C102 on an earlier sailing, but it was a LONG walk to the lounge. cflutist Posted April 19, 2019 #7 Share Posted April 19, 2019 Oh, we should mention that suite passengers get to use the VIP lounge for disembarkion morning. Less crowded than the Platinum/ Elite lounge.
