I called Cunard this morning and couldn't get a definitive answer. Just called again, and this time the agent agreed that it is "most likely true" that the curtains be closed at night..... We have sailed on Norwegian in the front of the ship, and nothing was said to us. We kept the curtains open 24/7.

With all due resect, one is completely wasting their time telephoning Cunard seeking answers to any question relating to the onboard product or procedures. Well over half of these shoreside agents have probably never stepped foot onboard a ship either as a visitor or as a travelling guest.

More often than not, this is the board where you'll find the correct answers, from the many who have had years of experience travelling Cunard Line.

Just to advise you, it is the same procedure  ( lowering the blinds at dusk ) in the Commodore Bar , Fwd deck 9

That is probably because Norwegian is a cruise ship build, unlike Queen Mary 2 which is built as an Ocean Liner.

Have sailed in that suite-- you can have them open at night but you need to have all the lights off. If the bridge sees the glare from the windows they call you and as you to close them. If theres no glare and you're just peaking out with the lights off they wont say anything.
