Victory Cruise April 8th to Key West and Cozumel and a day at sea. Monday - Friday.  Here are some random facts and opinions. Embarkation was easy, VIP, on ship by 11 something. Our cabin, ocean view, was ready and we got our luggage soon after.   Our cabin steward met us, and we filled out a form asking for both morning and night service, bath robes and ice each day. He did a very good job.  The ship never felt crowded, neither the lounges or the buffet lines. They had 4 comedy shows most night, two of which were 18+. We saw both comedians and they were pretty good. They had Dive in movies most nights. I remember they showed Ralph Breaks the internet and Mary Poppins Returns, Instant Family and Crazy Rich Asians. You can pick up blankets at the towel hut and popcorn at the bar. It was great to watch a movie under the stars.

We had anytime dining in the Atlantic Dining Room, and never had to wait for a table for two. Loved the appetizers and desserts. The main course was just OK. But waiters were quite nice and accommodating. We were on the second level, and the waiters did the songs and dances only on the first floor. The buffet lunch was good and they always had a carving station. The Deli sandwiches were huge and good .  I forgot what sides you could get.

They had Karaoke most nights, but we didn't go. The Love and marriage Show is always the same but always hysterical. We saw all the shows and were pretty much the same from last year. There was never a problem getting a good seat. They did have Trivia games in the lobby and Bingo in the Lounge.  The deck parties were lively and fun. Loved the music at the casino bar. We had been to Key West and Cozumel many times, so we did not do any excursions, but walked around. The casino was smoky but we stayed and had a good time. The dealers are very nice and approachable. At the Roulette table, I saw that they had to explain some of the rules to some people, but did it patiently.

We had our luggage numbers in our cabin, but there were numbers available near customer service. We had breakfast in the Pacific Dining, and it was quiet and peaceful and a great menu. Plus we got our free VIP drinks. Debarkation was easy.   I would be glad to answer any questions you might have, We had a great time!

Thanks for the review, there seem to be very few on the Victory.  I will be on that itinerary on May 6 and don’t expect any shows that I haven’t already seen.  But... do you remember the names of the shows?  Any chance I can see Epic Rock again?  Very happy to hear about the band at the casino bar, as that is one of our favorite places (I gamble, he doesn’t, so he is happy sitting there and I don’t feel bad about leaving him alone).

How was disembarkation?  We are heading to the Keys from the cruise to make good use of the long drive to/from Miami, so more concerned about a quick getaway than usual.

The first night was just the Welcome Show, generic but interesting. One show was called Vroom, songs through time, The Beatles, Elvis, Pink Floyd, etc. I don't remember any others, but Epic rock does not ring a bell. Disembarkation was quick and easy. Either carry off your luggage, or go near Customer Service the day before and choose a low number. Have fun!

Thank you!  I just read your 2017 review and it was somewhat familiar; I must have read it in 2017, but I enjoyed it again.  We are also going to Cuba, on the Sunrise in March 2020.  We have a tendency to take longer/more expensive cruises on Royal’s Oasis class, so the Liberty, Glory and Conquest are the largest/newest Carnival ships we have sailed on.  Looking forward to trying the Sunrise, and find it kind of cool that the Victory is the “before” version of the Sunrise.

I will be on Victory in two days!  It’s just a short 3 day cruise, but its great for a nice long weekend and it is an easy drive to the port (Miami) living in Florida.

We will be the people smiling as we head onto the ship you are leaving on Monday morning 😄. I used to live in Naples, but moved to Ocala when I retired.  Since Miami is now such a long drive (I know, for Floridians anyway), we are heading to the Keys for a few days when we get off the ship.

For our 30th anniversary in 2022 I am planning to do  the Havana Balcony so I've been looking the ships with those rooms.

We had typically done longer cruises today as we fly and want to make it worth our while. However with work schedules, pets and families we are on the shorter track lately. For 2022 I'm hoping for an excellent pet sitter and we can do an 8-day cruise then!

Thank you, I am looking forward to Vroom, which is one show we haven’t seen yet.  And hoping that Bohemian Rhapsody will be one of the Dive-in movies.

I was on the cruise the week before yours, and I can say the Vroom was great!  They had to cut it short though, as the seas were rough & it compromised the dancers' safety. (they dance in heels)

Can you remember the other show(s)?

We sail the Victory on June 3rd to key West and Cozumel.  What pier did you dock at in Key West?  Did you do an excursion in Cozumel? I have never been to Cozumel at these port times and was wondering what to do.
