Drink coupons-when do you get them?

I've been buying some drink coupons and photo coupons as a way of saving bit by bit for my upcoming cruise. Several times now, I bought the coupons (via computer) and didn't get the confirmation e-mail they promised. They charged my credit card though. So, I called Carnival to make sure they have the order. They were able to confirm the wine that I bought - but told me I had to check with my TA to confirm the coupons (sounds weird to me - that they couldn't help me). They told me my TA would send the coupons with my docs before the cruise. Is this true? Or will I get them onboard? If I get them ahead of time, I'll feel better. Without the receipt, I want them in my hot little hands before the cruise...that way, if there's any problems, and I take care of it before we leave. Thanks.

I ordered 2 sheets last cruise and 2 for an upcoming one. Last time they delivered them to us in the dining room. Someone else mentioned they got them in their cabin which I would prefer.

I received my drink coupons the first night at dinner. You have to sign for each book of four that you bought. So if you bought alot of them be prepared for writers cramp.

That makes more sense to me.....but what the heck was the Carnival guy talking about then. I hate it when they give conflicting info. I just ordered 8 more coupons (I'm done now - no we're not alcoholics ) and now on the new Carnival website it asks when you want them delivered (except the only option it gave me was night one). Thanks everyone for your help.

We ordered drink coupons also. I think they deliver them to the cabin or at dinner, not with docs.

We have ordered them 3-4 times.. They have always brought them to our table on the first night of the cruise...

 

We have ordered anywhere from 4 to 15 (4-packs), and each time have only had to sign one form...

 

We still have several packs left over... they will be CONSUMED eventually -- heck, that is reason enough to cruise again... just like the chip or two I save from the casino.. LOL

Depending on the price of the drink - you might save a bit, because tip is included. But, I'm not really doing this to save money, more as a way to save slowly for the cruise and keep the S&S account down a bit. I have also been adding $100 a month to the S&S account as well. That way I can have tips and drinks pretty much taken care of before I leave. It's also a way to help pass time while waiting for the cruise.....this wait seems endless, I want to leave now. This helps me feel like it's coming soon

the savings are not big at all. Mainly the coupons give you a smaller bill at the end. If you use the coupons for beer or drinks like rum and coke you will be losing money. If you are drinking frozen drinks then you make out a little better.

 

As far as the coupons for photos..its an even exchange dollar for dollar. (its like a gift certificate)

With the Carnvial website having trouble I had to call them just a few days ago to purchase my drink coupons and they said they would be delivered the first night at dinner.

Does anybody know if you have to purchase the drink coupons ahead of time or can you purchase them on board the ship. Am not a big drinker but if I can save some $$ would like to know how. Am sailing on April 25, 2004

I ordered 10 sheets online for myself (since they never expire, I hope to save money in the future-if drink prices go up again). At the end, mine said they would be delivered at embarkation. THEN, I went back on and ordered 5 sheets for my mother ( same cruise and stateroom). At the end, hers said they would be delivered the first night. It was only 5 seconds between orders, so I wondered if mine said embarkation because I had ordered so many sheets?
