I am so sorry to read that Walt has passed.  Having not been on CC much, since my wife passed, I totally missed this announcement.  My condolences to his family and friends.

When I read MVP's post two days ago, I remembered the times we were fortunate enough to sail together.  And it reminded me of all the wonderful Cruise Critic people we have met on cruises over the years.  You are correct, HCAT, it's been a couple of months of very sad losses here for Cruise Critic.  But I'm grateful for the memories shared, the information exchanged and the lifelong experience cruising and Cruise Critic has brought our family.

Walt was such an excellent host and from my limited exposure, seemed such a nice and interesting person. Very sad to hear, just got back from a river cruise so missed all of this. 

 

It reminds all of us why we keep cruising and enjoying as much as we can.
