I can't believe how little attention is paid by the cruise lines to single travelers. Best I can find out only Norwegian has made any effort to have single cabins and they still charge a premium and are very limited. Is they any reasonable way to travel single?

As Essiesmom says, Cunard and most P&O ships have single cabins, including the adult only ships, as do the other British lines such as Fred Olsen, C&M and Marella.

The new Saga ship arriving this summer will have 81 single balcony cabins... the only problem is that you have to be 50 yrs to sail with them!

RC also has single cabins. You need to price both ways. Single/solo cabins can often be the same price as a regular cabin.  You need to do your homework, or have a TA price out for you,

The fact solos have twice as much fun as couples is reward enough.

At least on Royal, you get an extra point per night for cruising solo in a normal cabin.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "reasonable"..........to me, having single cabins isn't what I consider doing something nice for single travellers.  I don't mind cruise lines charging a premium (but I do think charging double is unfair).  By "reasonable way to travel single", do you mean a low cost way to travel solo?   Best to find a travel agent and watch for sales on solo pricing.
