Got my E-Ticket now - Will this be my final room number

Recommended Posts

Hello again from Germany,

I am so excited...my E-Ticket is available for our first ever QM2 cruise in June and I can not wait to use it.

It is a 50th aniversary birthday present for my wife and myself will celebrate my own birthday on board.

Will there be any chance of a room update due to this all or will it be the final room number now.

Not that I would be unhappy with my choosen room but this would be a special suprise.

Thanks all for your help.

- Thorsten

DH and I once received an upgrade from an inside cabin to a balcony when we checked in!! You may be lucky; who knows how the upgrade fairy works.

Assume you won’t be upgraded, then if you are fortunate enough to receive one, you’ll be surprised and hopefully pleased with it.

But definitely don’t expect one, bear in mind that half the passengers on board will be celebrating a birthday or anniversary.

Enjoy your first Cunard experience.

Hi,

In my experience, upgrades at the pier are rare. I have sailed with Cunard 19 times, but I have only received a surprise upgrade at the pier once.

I just returned from a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Mary 2 yesterday and had a wonderful time. This was my seventh sailing on this ship. The QM2 is my favorite ship and is better than ever.

I hope that you enjoy the QM2.

Chuck

Everything is ok and thank you for your answers.

I am so glad to be on that ship and my cabin is very good in my opinion.

Counting the days.

Between 2009 - 2011 we received three fabulous upgrades from Cunard.  Each time the new categories and stateroom numbers appeared on the Voyage Personaliser about two weeks before the crossings.  Of course, it has been mentioned many times that last-minute upgrades can occur.
