Mardi Gras. Already booked on it?

Recommended Posts

We officially have a courtesy hold on a balcony room for the Nov 14th sailing! Think I'm going to go get a carnival giftcard to earn cash back so I can officially place our deposit.

1982

We stared in 1994. I was in the NAVY and my boss told me to take a weekend off and take a cruise. I told him he was nuts. He finally got me and my wife to go. Did we love it? Well in 2 months we took 3 cruises on the same ship. Now 70 cruises later. We still love it and look forward to each one. So how was that cruise on the original Mardi Gras?

Booked day 1 of bookings...Halloween 2020

Us also. Wish Halloween was not the first day. Now we always do Halloween every year on a Carnival ship. The others are not that great. This year the Magic.

The only thing that worries me on the mardi gras is that it will have almost 2x the passengers without 2x the open deck space. After cruising on the breeze for the first time this past week I loved the ship itself, but never felt so crowded on a ship

You are correct. It will be interesting to see how that works out.

We are booked for Dec. 6, 2020. It is so far away, but I retire in June of 2020 and this will be the first time we can cruise when the ship is decorated for Christmas. I am excited to see all the decorations, but especially to be in one of those new cabins. They look so different  from the other ship cabins !

We have an aft balcony booked on her Dec 12, 2020 sailing.  It will be our 21st cruise and we will be turning Platinum with Carnival on this cruise.  I will be retiring a month later in January 2021.  This will be my preretirement cruise.  21 is our lucky number.  We met on the June 21st.  Married on October 21st.  I will be putting some money on 21 in the casino on that cruise 😁.

.  I have a feeling we are going to cruise on this class ship many times!

It's nice that Carnival is finally following the lead taken by Royal, NCL and MSC and building mega ships.

They are once again aking a page from their competitors such as Celebrity with their new build the Edge and developing cabins that alternate each other and utilize space better.

Our first cruise was on the original Mardi Gras. The on board amenities were, let's say limited but I did win $100 on the slots.

When we heard the name for the latest Carnival ship, we decided that we had to book it. Our PVP called us to let us know the booking were open and we booked on the spot.

We will be doing the 15 day repo from NYC to Port Canaveral.

Carnivals Mardi Gras will be the best looking one of all. Not as mega as some of the others. But I think it will be one of the best.

Yes, good looking

and yes not as mega- as other gi-normous ships.

Mardi Gras is about as mega- as most of us are interested in.

It's plenty big enough! It's also going to make the older ships

look kinda shabby and outdated!
