Just Booked the Next Cruise!

A month after getting back from our Paradise cruise, we are finally booked on another cruise. And by "we" I mean ME! And my two best gal pals. We are doing a girls cruise next fall leaving the hubbys/kids back at home!

We are doing the Conquest 4 day Key West/Cozumel itinerary. And since three of us gals are sharing a cabin, we went with the Ocean Suite. I had a great future cruise offer that we could use which got us $100 in OBC to use on the ship.

Now only 520 days to wait!

very cool! Always a good feeling to have another cruise to look forward to. You mean you are going the next, next fall.

We have to wait until the next, next, winter for our next cruise. 🙂

We got back from last cruise March 31.... Currently we have 3 more reserved. We like to book early, watch for price drops, and make payments. It's kinda risky since you never know what may happen, and we did lose partial deposit on one occasion. All in all though, I think it's cheaper for us to book as far in advance as possible. We are not near any ports, so last minute deals are not an option. Happy sailing everyone!

We are fortunate enough to live in Florida and always have multiple future cruises booked, since we can easily drive to 5 ports in under 4 hours. Like the previous poster, we always book early and only once in the past few years have we lost money due to a late schedule change work wise. I do find it interesting, and depressing at the same time, when I get an e-mail from Carnival saying something similar to only 700 more days until your cruise.

Yes...the NEXT, next fall! October, 2020! My one friend is a single mom and she wanted to wait until her daughter was away at college to go. She's been raising her daughter on her own pretty much since she was born. Her daughter's father has only see her a handful of times and not since she was a baby. So she hasn't done much for herself in the last 17 years. So she's definitely due for a trip like this!

Unfortunately, my hubby is burnt out on cruising (not sure how THAT happens), so we aren't planning any others for a while which is why I had to sneak in this girls trip!

But I agree about booking early - we've gotten great rates and sometimes even an OBC if prices fall. And our last cruise I was able to mostly pay off over the course of the year+ with other special deals that I found (AMEX offers, discounted gift cards, etc.). We saved a TON on our last cruise doing that!

love the just booked a cruise energy!

we just found a cruise at the right price and a direct flight to match, as soon as we confirm both our schedules are free at work.

Awesome! I have to wait until the fall to book airlines and hotel. Not much to do until then!

Wow...someone with a longer wait than me! But you've got a nice, shiny new ship to look forward to! The Mardi Gras looks amazing!

Coming all the way from California, we had to make it worthwhile to travel to Florida. 😉 But we're both going to have amazing times!!!

I thought that since they changed the future cruise credit deal a few years ago the OBC was only $50.

This was an offer specifically for a Suite which included a total OBC for the cabin of $100. The other future cruise offer I had in my profile had a $50 OBC for any other cabin type you booked. We don't typically book Suites - when it's just my hubby and I, I just can't justify the extra spend. The space we have in a regular balcony cabin is plenty for us.

But this cruise is three grown gals cruising together! We are going to need that extra space! LOL And on this cruise, with the special offer the difference in price between a regular balcony and this cabin was minimal!
