We did it a couple of years ago. FYI - we did not book with the ship, but booked direct. According to the cruise line (Princess), he was not old enough, although he was well within the parameters that the facility required. We took a taxi there and back. It was an amazing experience. The staff were all very friendly. Our group in the water was not very big, maybe 10 people or so. They do not let you take any photos, you have to buy them. It's expensive, but worth it in my opinion. Do you want to know anything specific?

It's really more of a guided activity. You are in the water, and so are the dolphins. They are free to come up to you, or not. There was a young dolphin there who was fascinated with my son and kept coming up to him. You are able to hold onto their fin and they'll take you for a ride. It's definitely not a free-for-all, but a well-organized activity. Note that you're in a pool with them, and not in the open ocean. I've seen places like that, but not in PV.
