Cruising out of Norfolk

We have a cruise booked out of Norfolk in May 2020.  We are being driven to and from the cruise port rather than parking.  Does anyone know if we can be dropped off/picked up directly at the port or do we have to drop our bags and then go to the satellite parking and be shuttled over?  I've tried to find the answer and am getting differing options.  Thanks in advance for any help.

You can be dropped of by family/friend right at the ship. Traffic can be very hectic that morning. We have family drop us off but we take sort of a back route and pull into the parking garage directly across the street. We do have to pay like$1-$2 for that very short time our ride is parked there but the in and out is very easy peasy. Basically we come up Granby, then turn on Main, and make a right into the garage. Bypasses all that crazy traffic. To leave your ride simply just reverses the way out and back to Granby. It's a 2 minute walk from there the to ship.

Thanks so much for the info finoky!  This is the first time we've gone out of Norfolk even though we're only about and hour away.  We'll use your route for sure and will try to do a run through before the cruise.  We made the mistake of trying to go to Nauticus on a Saturday when a cruise was leaving there.  What a zoo!  Thanks again.
