Panasonic ZS100 anyone?

My wife uses a Panasonic ZS100.

 

While she usually takes photos, she has become interested in taking some videos.

 

However, the icon on the camera shows the microphone for video being closed (speaker with a slash mark).

Can't see anything about it in the manual -.

Help!

In the menu screen, does this model have an icon that looks like an old fashioned video camera? On some it is the one below the icon that looks like a camera.

 

If so, there should be microphone settings available to change.

 

 

I am looking at a 220 as a pocket camera, and was shown this in store.

Tommui987 actually now I think I know what you're talking about - the icon which looks like a speaker with a slash mark means that the beep sounds are turned off.  To turn sounds back on, go to "Silent Mode" in the tools menu and turn Silent Mode off.  But this has nothing to do with recording video.

THANKS!  You were absolutely right.

 

I can hear (recorded) sound now but extremely soft. I guess that it has to be hooked up to a TV set.
