Where to satay

Wére going on cruise from Greenwich UK but will be spending 3 nights prior to sailing.  Would you recommend staying in London city centre or closer to or Greenwich.  Thks!

Greenwich is very close to central London, but aside from the Observatory there is little there.  For a visit of a few days, I would far prefer to be near the many attractions in London and then get out to Greenwich on embarkation day.

If you are flying to London I would suggest you take the Piccadilly Line underground direct from Heathrow to Gloucester Road - least expensive, quick way to town. There are lots of hotels on Cromwell Road - just a minute or so away from the station. We’ve stayed at Holiday Inn (inexpensive) and Radisson Edwardian (reasonable and very comfortable). That underground station is on Piccadilly, Central and District lines - making it easy to get anywhere in London at low cost. Lots of restaurants in the area also. On embarkation day, I’d just take a taxi.
