Switching rooms after payment

Cant find an answer and so far no response from Disney. If I book one of the few rooms left on a cruise and pay in full by the deadline, then other rooms open up the night of the deadline because people back out, can I apply my payment and switch to one of the newly available rooms? Will my Disney purchased insurance carry to the new room?

You can change rooms/categories at any time, as long as you remain on  the same cruise date.  You will be charged the cost of that room/category at the time you made the original booking.

 

Insurance isn't designated by room, it's designated by traveler.  They don't care what room you are in, only that YOU take the trip.

Yes i just downgraded from a 4B to a 9A accessible after I paid in full.  I received a $880 credit to my Disney Visa within 10 days. The cruise was the 8 night Eastern on the Fantasy.  I did do the change on the phone after I found an accessible oceanview pop up.

You can change cabin at any time up to boarding the cruise.  Your previous payments will apply.  If the new cabin costs more, you'll pay the price it WAS on the day of your original booking, not the price on the day you changed.
