That collection had been preserved on the Summit "pre-revolution".  I, too, am happy to see that Celebrity kept the collection!

The luncheon looks wonderful.  Was their a charge?  How were you eligible?  Thanks Jim!

The luncheon was a Zenith appreciation event.   The only requirement is being a Zenith.

Hi Jim,

Just want to thank you for all the cruises that you and Lain have taken us on.  Always a pleasure reading your blogs.  In way of thanks, when you get to Portland visit this place.  I know it’s not you normal diet but the ‘chocolate sea salt’ burns off in a half a mile.  Fore and Exchange Street.

John

Looks like a long line for the tender.

John.  Thanks much. There is always room for Chocolate.   The tender lines weren’t too bad.   I believe the long line is for RCL.  They are using a huge whale watching ship for tender.

We we were pulled out of line by the Suites Manager and escorted to the front of our line.   Really wouldn’t have mattered as there were only about 50 people on line and 2 tenders waiting.

Jim, so enjoy your live reviews, makes me feel like I am cruising... I wanted to look at all your pics again. Do you have all your pics posted in one place, so I would not have to scroll through all the chit chat, even though some of it is mine:):)

Today we took a ships tour of Arcadia National Park.   First on the tour was Cadillac Mountain.  We were given 20 minutes to explore on our own.  Absolutely spectacular views.

After that hat it was a ride around the circular route wit no additional stops.  Personally I was rather disappointed with the tour and can not recommend it.  Just a long boring bus ride

Sounds like a great price for a good wine.

We have not yet visited New Zealand but have a cruise booked late next year. Can’t wait.

Which cruise are you going on?I have a feeling it might be Celebrity Solstice a very popular ship over here . I was on her in March if it is and you do the hot glass class and choose to have a product made by them  check it carefully before  you take it mine had two deep scratches  which I discovered when the thick wrapping was removed at  home.Too late to to do something about it however one of the local glass making businesses might have an idea to fix.

You should have booked with one of the two independent tour operators. I did Oli's Tours and we did three stops including Cadillac Mountain There is also a free bus that goes around and makes stops. Unfortunately for us that did not start for the summer until yesterday.

The cruise will be on Eclipse and first cruise after dry dock (B2B kinda they have a 2 day cruise in between).  The first cruise is November 24th from Singapore

Wish I were able.  They were sold out when I checked last week.  I generally book independent.   You sound like you had a wonderful tour and probably paid 1/2 what we did.

Really enjoyed the ship’s shore excursion of Portland and Kennebunkport (5-1/2 hours).  Great tour guide on the bus, Cliff, and Anthony, the driver.  Cliff was a very well informed local guide with a wealth of information.  Beautiful area.  Great lobster roll sandwich and fresh blueberry pie at Alisson’s Restaurant on the main street in Kennebunkport.
