Snorkeling recommendations?

If you have a port intensive trip I would skip san Juan for snorkeling. If you are there pre or post cruise for a few days, i would try to get a day trip to culebra. It's an island off of Puerto rico. There is no way you will be able to do it as a cruise excursion. Snorkeling is great there. If you have been to san Juan before and dont want to go to el yungue or the forts, another activity that my husband and I loved was renting bikes. We had a great day cycling all over san Juan.  I snorkel a lot and I wouldn't even bother bringing a mask off the ship in san Juan.
