Airbnb Galveston

Hi y’all.  We are a party of 3 flying into Houston Hobby on Oct. 19.  We are on Carnival Freedom 🛳 Oct. 20. We are considering taking an Uber to Galveston Island and staying in an Airbnb for the night.  I’ve read several posts about transportation option and hotels.  Haven’t seen much on Airbnb.  Anybody have experiences or recommendations they would like to share? 🤪

I found our "go to" place to stay on Airbnb. It is called  the Schafer Haus and is a 5 minute walk to the Strand; 3 blocks from a great restaurant especially for breakfast (best breakfast quiche I have ever had). It is more like a BnB. It is an old boarding house that they refurbished. There are about 7 rooms. They have a kitchen and do not provide meals but you can cook your meals. It is very reasonable priced for Galveston. Look at their website for much info. They serve free mimosas on the weekend!
