Barcelona June 2020 Cruise...Need Hotel Recommendations

Recommended Posts

If you look down the page you'll find a similar thread.  Actually if you look back you'll probably find answers to this question on every page.

I'd advise you to read the TOP QUESTIONS on the Barcelona forum of tripadvisor.com.    There's an excellent thread on hotel locations that may help you with your search.

The Placa Catalunya is a popular area to stay ....  close to public transportation, close to Las Ramblas, close to sights. (We're staying nearby at Hotel Lleo in Sept ),   Use tripadvisor to drill down on which amenities you need, and your budget.

We always use Hotel Jazz a superb hotel with excellent  staff plus roof top pool with nice sun deck and centrally positioned.

A ten minute taxi ride to the port on embarkation day.

And a great buffet breakfast. We just returned from a pre-cruise stay there. But beware, when they say you can't check in until 3:00pm...they mean it !!!!

Glad you like it. Just booked it for Nov. Cruise. Did you find any great place to eat nearby?

There really are a lot of nice restaurants nearby and the hotel had a decent menu also that you can order from and enjoy on the sun deck where it has lots of nice tables and comfortable chairs.

You can also order and eat near the bar area.

However with a cruise in November I feel a local restaurant may be a good option if not wanting to eat in the hotel.

The hotel front desk will recommend places and there is a good steak house amongst other options opposite.

But will they hold our luggage until check in?

Yes they certainly will. We got there at 10:30am. They took our luggage into a secured separate room and gave us a claim check. We were finally able to check into our room at 2:30pm. It was a long day !!!!
