2 days in San Juan

We are sailing on the Freedom of the seas in November. We have two days in San Juan before the cruise. We are booked into the El San Geronimo Hotel for both nights. Looks like this hotel is walk able to old San Juan during the day, not sure about nighttime. WE plan on spending the first day doing Old San Juan, including dinner downtown somewhere. Second day we are thinking of making it a beach day, depending on weather.

My questions

Can you recommend a good beach? Would we need to travel to another part of the island to get to a good beach?

Are cabs pretty easy to get in Old San Juan at night?

Is there any good tours we could do instead of a beach day? We don't dive or zip line.

Thanks for any advice

Not sure about this location at all.....We much prefer to stay "in" old San Juan and love the location of the Sheraton Old San Juan. Do some research on this hotel.

It's a pretty long walk from there to Old San Juan- if you are runners, it's an easy distance, even walking.  If not, it's a very long walk- and it's hot.  Even in November its hot.  I *think* it's easy to get a taxi, and since you will be there not on a weekend, you should find one in the typical taxi stands.

What are you looking for in a "good beach"?  There's one right next to the hotel, and we used to go to one on the opposite side of the island in Guanica.  There are a lot of beaches, and styles out there.
