Vancouver parking

Recommended Posts

Airport long term parking charges about half the daily price of the pier, and YVR is convenient for SkyTrain. Dropping your passengers and bags at the pier then driving back to YVR and taking SkyTrain downtown would be the cheapest thing to do ($7.95pp on weekends, a buck and a quarter extra for weekdays, plus gas for the 10 mile trip, on top of parking rates) but if everyone is mobile you'll save time for not much extra money spend by stopping at the airport then everyone heading to the pier at once (3+ people and a cab becomes as cheap as SkyTrain, fixed rate $35) rather than having to drive into town and back out again. Assuming you're driving up I5 from home the airport is on the main highway into town.

I second this!  This is what we have done--dropped off luggage and kids, and then took the Sky Train back.  Very easy and straightforward.  Upon disembarkation, all of us took Sky Train out to the airport.
